Whether you’re brand new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner looking to bring more life to your practice, our Deepen Your Practice Course is designed to be accessible, safe and supportive to all.The outline of this course is designed to grow your understanding of yoga as a whole, touching on the history and philosophy of yoga, breath and meditation, strengthening your asana (postures), safely entering back bends and more. Leaving you feeling safe and supported throughout your journey with yoga.
Deepen Your Practice is a Two part Yoga series for all levels. In this two-part workshop, Corissa invites both beginner and seasoned yoga practitioners to dive a little deeper into their personal practice. Whether you are looking to learn more about the philosophy behind Pantajali’s 8 Limbed Ashtanga Yoga system, fine tune your meditation and breath work, or deepen your asana(physical postures), there will be plenty for you to take away and apply.
About Corissa
Corissa has been teaching yoga of various styles for more than 7 years and a regular yoga practitioner for a decade. Her teacher training took place in Northern India, where she studied both Ashtanga and Hatha yoga. Since then, she has taught consistently and in multiple countries.
Corissa’s teaching style is very hands on and inclusive, with a strong “ashtanga flavour” as she would say. “ When looking at The 8 Limbs of Yoga, it can feel overwhelming at first, but it has so much to offer.” Corissa is passionate about helping students understand this system in a way that makes sense in the modern day, and also how to apply it in a way that feels sustainable for your life.
Corissa hopes that through conversations and application, you’ll leave this workshop feeling more confident in your understanding of yoga philosophy from an Ashtanga perspective. Furthermore, taking into your classes; a deeper understanding of your physical practice and how to deepen it in a way that’s safe and sustainable for your body.
