Drawing on the Yogic tradition and modern psycho-somatic education, Yoga for Mental Health will be a deep dive into understanding how the practice can influence mental and emotional wellbeing, self-regulation and healing.
Facilitated by Elle Sweetman, Transpersonal and Somatic Counsellor (M.ACA) and experienced Yoga teacher specialising in sharing within mental health rehabilitation, Yoga for Mental Health is suitable for both Yoga Teachers, students and the general public alike.
~ Learn how Trauma-informed methods can transform your practice and teaching
~ Develop an understanding of the Nervous System and how Yoga supports regulation, self-inquiry and understanding
~ Apply specific pranayama (breathwork), meditation, asana (Yoga Postures) and mudra (hand gestures) practices to improve mood, reduce the stress-load and calm anxiety
~ Dive into the Yogic philosophy of mental and emotional balance
