Yoga for Pregnancy & Childbirth
An opportunity to connect with other pregnant women in this 3 hour workshop that will cover.
Learn how to build a yoga practice for your pregnancy; including how to modify and swap most key poses that you will come across in a regular yoga class to suit your unique pregnant body (at any stage of pregnancy – no previous yoga experience needed) provide key yoga tools to use in preparation for, as well as during childbirth (breathing techniques, mudras, sound practises, yoga positions and active birth positions that encourage baby down and out more easily) the science of birth hormones and how to keep these flowing with the use of yoga techniques that influence your nervous system – this can make a phenomenal difference to your birth experience – whether it is a vaginal or c-section birth.
Feel free to stay on afterwards and indulge in the Yin class at 4.30pm – Jaz will offer pregnancy adjustments.
About your Host/Teacher/Facilitator:
Hi – I’m Jaz and I am a Yoga Therapist that specialises in perinatal support. Feel free to read more about me at riseyoga.com.au
Currently pregnant with my 2nd, I’ve learnt a lot first hand about the incredible benefits that Yoga can offer for pregnancy and childbirth journey.
I actively used yoga breathing, poses and soundwork throughout my first childbirth and believe this was a key reason I managed to keep going through a very long and challenging labour!
I’ve also seen this first hand when I offered doula support at my friend’s childbirth and I have received this feedback from so many women that have used these simple tools, especially when starting to be practised in advance of the big event.
Yoga simply allows your body and mind to better prepare and recover from childbirth and manage the unpredictability this journey so often brings with it. Feel free to reach out with any questions and I look forward to meeting you in person.
