Yoga Inversions Workshop

Have you ever seen yogis practicing a Vinyasa or Ashtanga sequence seamlessly moving like effortlessly through inversions and wondered how?

Inversions might sometimes seem scary or impossible but just like standing on one leg, once your mind, breath and body are aligned and you know your path you’ll find these inverted balances aren’t so impossible.

In this workshop we will work on how to move into inversions on your mat to give you the confidence to play and explore movement as a part of your physical practice.
All you need to be able to do is comfortably hold a plank for 5 breaths and we are on our way.

Most importantly this workshop is about bringing light and joy into your practice, removing fear and inviting play empowered through knowledge.

What we will cover:

– Asanas, physical postures to prepare the body
– Alignment of arm balances and headstands
– How to enter and exit safely
– Using supporting props
– Creativity and Play with Inversions

Recommendations for participants:

– Arrive 15 min prior to start to check in and get settled for the workshop
– Wear flexible and comfy clothing
– Bring your yoga mat
– If you would like to take notes you are welcome to bring a notepad and pen
– Bring a water bottle
– And be ready for FUN!
