After years dedicated to the Martial Arts, Marcus Vinicius had his career as a fighter interrupted due to a knee and hip injury in one of the tournaments he participated.
Marcus Vinicius had his first contact with yoga during an Ashtanga class in Brazil in 2013, after years trying to heal his body with no success. It was then that everything in his life changed. Yoga helped him to heal his body and mind. He realised that his destiny was to share the knowledge he had learned from the study of the Sutras and the practice of Yoga with others.
In Sydney he met Nicole Walsh and Rod Galbraith as mentors. He decided to go deeper into his practice and has been personally mentored by Nicole and Rod since the end of his YTT August 2015 till mid 2016
He also studied with Mark Breadner at his 300-hour Teacher Training, that allowed him to go deep into philosophy and to reconnect with the true purpose of Yoga.
Influenced by martial arts and Prana Vinyasa, Marcus enjoys guiding his students through slow, creative and organic yoga classes.
He is passionate about encouraging his students to go on an inward journey using the Yoga system, cultivating self inquiry, using their breath as medium to connect to the present moment and overcome their limitations.
