I’m recovering from an illness/ injury – Can I do Yoga or Pilates?
It depends! If you’re doctor has given you the ok to do so, Yoga and Pilates can be of great benefit and support your recovery. We do ask that you take full responsibility for your body and invite you to be guided by the feedback that your body gives you. Our teachers will provide modifications throughout our classes. Please let your teacher know before class starts so they can provide appropriate modifications.
I’m pregnant can I do Yoga/Pilates?
Absolutely! As long as your doctor has given you the ok to to do, Yoga and Pilates has many great benefits pre/postnatal. We do not recommend that you don’t do our Barre classes especially in your first trimester. We ask that you please inform your teacher before class so they are aware of your pregnancy and can provide any modifications to best serve you.
If you are new to the practice we recommend that you choose a gentler class such as Gentle Flow, Yin, Restorative or Pilates Mat. If you are a seasoned practitioner, please be aware as your body changes so might your practice. We encourage you to take full responsibility for your practice and take it moment by moment adjusting to suit you and bub as you need.
