Jasmine is both a qualified Yoga Teacher and Yoga Therapist. Passionate about using the tools and practices of yoga to improve and maintain her client’s mental and physical health and wellbeing. Her areas of passion include mental health, perinatal mental health, childbirth support and rehabilitation. In addition to this, running courses and workshops to make yoga something that is accessible for everyone. Teaching Vinyasa, Yin and Hatha styles of Yoga and works with clients in both group and individual settings to provide Yoga Therapy based practices.
Jasmine’s journey with Yoga started in an (overly) hot Bikram room in 2014, when she was looking for something to keep her fit but also manage the stresses of her job at the time. She soon discovered the wonderful side of the practice that relaxed her nervous system, connected her to a deep sense of peace within herself, and kept her curious and open to the world around her. This is where she began to realise the huge benefits yoga practices can offer at an individual and societal level.
Jasmine has a soft spot for ‘yoga-sing-alongs’ (Kirtan) and believes firmly in the power of Mantra, Mudra and Pranayama (breath-work) to transform us from being stuck in our minds, to living back within the body and connected to the greater world around us.
If Jasmine could only do one yoga pose for the rest of her life it would be a wide legged Child’s pose; she finds it brings a well needed earthing energy to both her body and mind! She also loves getting upside down, shifting her perspective and reminding herself not to take life too seriously.
